Piecemeal.
The world has started to crumble. I uprooted again, started fresh, pandemic on the rise, and I had nothing — nothing but writers’ block.
PIECEMEAL is a collection of poetry I composed using my limited supply of magnetic words on a saw blade — yes, a saw blade. My parents gave me this magnet poetry set when I was little, and I’ve used them when I couldn’t find the words to write. These eleven mini poems were typed up on Henry Howard, my Royal HH typewriter from 1952. The cover is handmade paper featuring little bits of newspaper clippings. The one-signature text block is bound with a pamphlet stitch using linen thread. Saw blade embellishments were hand cut and sewn into the binding.
