This Means Nothing.
This Means Nothing.
THIS MEANS NOTHING is about displaced affection, stagnant unrest, and the spiraling vacancy that turned to madness.
This book marks my return to letterpress printing and writing authentically. The seven poems were written over the course of five years and printed over the course of my divorce. The text was set using the Univers typeface family and pressed to 100% cotton paper on a 8x10 Kelsey press housed at the IPRC in Portland, Oregon. The one-page signatures are hand-sewn in a coptic stitch using waxed linen thread. The main “snake parts” and waxing/waning moon illustrations were carved in lino and printed by hand in my teeny tiny trailer. Leftover paper scraps were used to make bookmarks, some featuring the deckle edge. The mix CD was meticulously curated, abiding by High Fidelity mix tape logic, from all the songs to which I cried my heart out. One-inch buttons were designed and made especially for my business launch and are almost sold out! This is the most personal collection of poetry I have ever released and the debut work for Poet Ray Prints.
